Novocain
Novocain
Novocain was a group formed in 2006 at work to celebrate the retirement of Ken Lebow, now former actuary and VP of group dental at Guardian Life Insurance Company of America.
It was fun. We wrote silly, but relevant lyrics to a few well known songs and got a group of half-talented wanna-bes (including myself) to perform it live. We decided to record it all after the fact, which was my first project as a producer and engineer. I didn’t do a great job, but was limited to a two channel m-box, so we couldn’t record “as a band.” In fact, every part was done as an entirely separate recording session. It took a long time. If it were recording/editing 101, I’d have earned a B+.
Since, it’s just been more nonsense we dreamt up here and there. Nonsense.

To the tune of “Strawberry Fields Forever,” Steve Toby wrote lyrics for the 2008 release of a new Crticial Illness and Hopsital Admissions employee benefits product. My job - boring content, but fun working with creative dorks like myself.
